A free rock festival will take place in a Cambridgeshire town on Sunday (August 6). The Wisbeach Rock Festival, organised by Wisbech Town Council, will run between 11am and 8pm at Wisbech Town Park.

The park will be split into three main areas for the festival. There will be a main stage, beach area, and bandstand area.

The main stage will see performers including The Drifters, Wildboys, After Hours Band, and The Stereotypes. It will also have food stalls and a bar.

The bandstand area will host local acts including Roy McManus, Dave Benning, Lizzie Bryant, and Purple Angels. It will also host an African drumming workshop and poetry slam.

The beach area will include a splash pad, sandpit, donkey rides, and crazy golf. The event is sponsored by broadband company Upp.

The Met Office forecast for Wisbech on Sunday is sunny intervals changing to cloudy in the afternoon. The chance of rain is 10per cent or less throughout the day.
